The Unbreakable bond (Siblings)

Growing up, in 1997 we were posted in Cochin (Kerala), the queen city of Arabian Sea. I was in first grade when something special happened. My family was blessed with twins, a girl and a boy. At this point, my life was changed as I was not alone anymore, I have two younger siblings Sanchita and Shivam. I have read somewhere that siblings can make you more self-less, improve your mental health and keep you physically fit.

What makes the bond between family unbreakable is the fact that it's a god’s gift to us, we do not get to choose our family. As a family, we learn to grow, compromise, love and share.

Initially, I was a little insecure that I will have to share everything with them including my Parent’s love. However, I soon realised that Parent's love does not divide amongst their children: instead, it multiplies like the stars.

Every coin has two sides, It is common for siblings to fight. We also had our ups and downs, where we argued and blamed, but also stood with each other in their good times and bad times. As beautifully written “Siblings are the only enemy you can’t live without”.

The second step of success:

This phase taught me how to share. Like parents, older siblings act as role models and teachers, helping their younger siblings learn about the world. You not only teach them but also get to learn from them.

When you are the oldest one, you become the shield for your younger siblings and you take everything on yourself ( taking the blame, getting punished on their doings, keeping their secrets etc).
